Research Focus
Žiga Škorjanc is a postdoctoral researcher (“Habilitand”) at the Department of Innovation and Digitalisation in Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Vienna, and Managing Director of lexICT – Regulatory Advisory & Digital Technology Compliance (Vienna). He is also a member of the Legal Expert Group of the Observatory of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). In early 2026, he completed his habilitation in the field of Law and Digital Technologies at the European Faculty of Law of Nova Univerza in Nova Gorica/Ljubljana, Slovenia (title: docent / Assistant Professor). Previously, he worked at a law firm in Vienna (bar exam, Vienna Regional Court of Appeals). He specialises in IT-, IP-, data protection and data law, as well as the use of technological innovations in the financial sector.
