Research Focus
Klaudia is a research associate at the Department of Innovation and Digitalisation in Law and works on EU- and third-party funded projects. She completed her legal education in the Netherlands, with an LLB in International and European Law from the University of Groningen and an LLM with a specialisation in European Law and Market Integration from Maastricht University. During her studies, she developed an interest in privacy and data protection laws. In her Master thesis, she explored the possible impact of the CJEU Schrems II judgement on data transfers under the Law Enforcement Directive.
She practised and developed her legal skills during internships at the Polish data protection authority and a digital rights NGO in Austria, where she also gained a deeper understanding of the topics surrounding European privacy and data protection laws. Klaudia’s research interests focus on the relationship between fundamental rights, technology and law enforcement. She is interested in EU data protection law, particularly data transfers to third countries.
