Research Focus

Clara is a research associate at the Department of Innovation and Digitalisation in Law and works on EU- and third-party funded projects. After specializing in European law at the University Panthéon-Assas, she completed an L.L.M programme at Indiana University - Maurer School of Law with a specialization in Information Privacy and Cybersecurity Law. She finished her studies with a Master's degree in IT law and data protection from the University Paris-Cité.

During her internships in both companies and lawfirms, she got the chance to apply data protection on a daily basis while having a broader approach to accompany clients in their conformity. Clara is particularly interested in the balance between innovation and fundamental rights, American privacy laws, and the issue of data transfers on which she wrote her master's thesis about the validity of the UK adequacy decision regarding the Schrems II case criteria. She also writes on a weekly basis for the French law review Dalloz Actualité.
