Artificial Intelligence and Liability Law

07.11.2024

On November 6, 2024, Christiane Wendehorst delivered a lecture on Artificial Intelligence and Liability Law as part of the "Artificial Intelligence and Law" lecture series organized by the Department for Innovation and Digitalization in Law.

The advancing technological capabilities of artificial intelligence are increasingly influencing our private lives and work environments. In the future, AI will not only be able to independently perform simple, standardized tasks but will also have the capacity to think beyond them. This transformation presents new challenges for the legal system: How should the boundaries for AI applications be set? To what extent does AI impact our core values? And could AI one day act as a judge? These are the questions addressed in this lecture series.
