The main topic of discussion will be AI and Data Privacy, including the use of generative AI tools such as ChatGPT in business, the legal implications of such use for media companies from a data protection perspective, but also with regard to future AI law.
In her presentation, Christiane Wendehorst will talk about the interplay between the AI Act, the AI Liability Directive and the Product Liability Directive and how these three proposals fit together. Wendehorst will also address the implications of these regulations for media companies, especially if they develop or use AI systems including generative AI tools such as ChatGPT.
As Wendehorst had been intensively involved in the academic and other preliminary work on the proposals concerning Product and AI liability, Wendehorst is well placed to explain the background on which the proposals are based.
