In the context of the 2019 UN Internet Governance Forum (IGF) in Berlin, Microsoft is organizing a panel on the topic "The Clash of Codes. Conflicts of Laws in Government Data Access and How to Resolve Them." The panel is part of the official IGF program on 29th of November 2019 and will take place from 11:30 am-12:30pm at the Estrel Hotel in Berlin. Professor Nikolaus Forgó was invited to be the moderator of this panel.
The panel session will address the question of how national data access rights for security authorities and blocking statutes aiming at preventing such access can be regulated on an international level as well as how to address resulting conflicts between different jurisdictions.
