The Legal Lunch Seminar (LLS) promotes intra- and interdisciplinary exchange at the “Mittelbau” of the Faculty of Law at the University of Vienna and provides an opportunity to socialize across institutional borders.
Žiga Škorjanc is a postdoctoral researcher (“Habilitand”) at the Department of Innovation and Digitalisation in Law, University of Vienna, Managing Director of lexICT GmbH Austria, Member of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) Observatory Legal Expert Group, and Advisory Board Member of the Digital Asset Association Austria (DAAA). Previously, he worked at a law firm in Vienna (bar exam, Vienna Regional Court of Appeals). He specialises in IT-, IP-, data protection and data law, as well as the use of technological innovations in the financial sector.
Florian Werni has been (postdoctoral) university assistant in Professor Iris Eisenberger’s team at the Department of Innovation und Digitalisation in Law since March 2023. He worked as a university assistant in Professor Franz Merli‘s team at the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law at the University of Vienna, as a research assistant in Professor Hans Christian Röhl’s team at the University of Konstanz and, most recently, as a lawyer at the Constitutional Service of the Austrian Federal Chancellery. He studied Law and Philosophy at the University of Vienna. His dissertation addresses human rights (religious communities and their fundamental right to equality). His research focuses on constitutional and administrative law and its relations.
