Technology (e.g. speed pumps, geo-fencing, upload filters or digitised borders) increasingly shapes not only access but also the spaces in which society and individuals develop, interact and flourish. This technological normativity is increasingly replacing legal normativity and legal institutions, raising profound questions about core legal principles such as the rule of law or the separation of powers. This talk will explore some of the implications of this development for the institution of law.
