05.09.2024

On the 2nd of September 2024, Christiane Wendehorst spoke alongside Veronica Kaup-Hasler, Jens Schneider, Noshir Contractor, and George Metakides on a panel on “Vienna Manifesto on Digital Humanism - The First Five Years” as part of the third DigHum Summer School.

The discussion focused on reflecting on the achievements of the Digital Humanism Initiative and exploring its future perspectives. The event also marked the celebration of the 5th anniversary of the Vienna Manifesto on Digital Humanism.

In 2019, TU Wien Informatics brought together over 100 international experts to discuss the societal impacts of digital transformation. This led to the creation of the "Vienna Manifesto on Digital Humanism" (Vienna Manifesto on Digital Humanism — DIGHUM (caiml.org)). Over the past five years, the initiative has grown through various activities such as the Digital Humanism Lecture Series and Summer School.
