CONNEXIONs
InterCONnected NEXt-Generation Immersive IoT Platform of Crime and Terrorism DetectiON, PredictiON, InvestigatiON, and PreventiON Services, under the project acronym ‘CONNEXIONs’ is a multiparty and multidisciplinary EU funded project. The overall goal of this project is to develop and demonstrate next-generation detection, prediction, prevention and investigation services to aid in the fight against crime and terrorism and for the protection of goods and people within the EU, and the maintenance of law and order. In achieving this aim, the project brings together research and academic partners as well as industry partners in both law enforcement and technical fields. Outcomes include pre-occurrence crime prediction and prevention, during-occurrence law enforcement operations, and post-occurrence investigation including 3D crime-scene reconstruction.
To achieve these outcomes, an essential requirement of the project is the provision of legal and ethical risk assessments, as well as the production of a legal and ethical framework applicable to all envisaged project activities. Further information is available here and in ucris.
