Iris Eisenberger, Sebastian Scholz and Sophia Witz, in cooperation with scientists from the Technical University of Munich, published a conference paper at the 2023 IEEE International Conference on Advanced Robotics and Its Social Impacts (ARSO).
"Data Recording for Responsible Robotics" presents a specially developed version of a data recorder as the result of an interdisciplinary research collaboration within the „Responsible Robotics (RR-AI)“, project, which deals with social, ethical, legal and technical aspects of robotics in healthcare.
The developed data recorder helps to improve the transparency of robotics in general. Additionally, it can be used to meet the legal requirements that the Medical Device Regulation (MDR) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) place on humanoid platforms that are to be used in the healthcare sector (e.g. GARMI).
