Research Focus
Paul Jakob Suilmann is currently pursuing a doctoral degree at Humboldt University of Berlin (Prof. Dr. Giesela Rühl) and is serving as a research assistant to Prof. Dr. Katharina de la Durantaye. He undertook his legal studies at the University of Potsdam, successfully completing the first state examination in 2023. His research is centered on technology law, with a particular focus on its role in private law enforcement. His research also concentrates on the regulation of artificial intelligence (AI) and the issues of platform regulation. Furthermore, he serves as the editor-in-chief of the Berliner Rechtszeitschrift (BRZ) [Berlin Law Journal] and editor of the Robotics & AI Law Society (RAILS) blog. Since September 2024, he has been a Visiting Researcher at the Department of Innovation and Digitalisation in Law.
