Research Focus

I am currently pursuing a research stay at the University of Vienna on the theme “Algorithmic Accountability of Online Platforms: Lessons from European Practices for India.” My work investigates the regulatory models adopted in the European Union—particularly in relation to algorithmic governance, data protection, and AI ethics—and explores their applicability within the Indian legal and policy landscape.

As part of this research, I am closely studying the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Digital Services Act (DSA), with a view to understanding their implications for platform regulation, user rights, and state responsibilities. The comparative analysis aims to offer practical policy insights for adapting European legal standards to the Indian context.

Additionally, I am keen to engage with contemporary, cutting-edge research on Artificial Intelligence and Law, particularly around the normative and constitutional challenges that AI systems pose in democratic societies.
