Mag. Paola Lopez

Paola Lopez is a mathematician. In her interdisciplinary dissertation at the Faculty of Law at the University of Vienna, she is investigating questions of the (in)justice of the state's use of AI systems in relation to individuals. She is a member of the Working Group on Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights of the Austrian Research Foundation, an associate researcher at the Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society in Berlin, and writes an AI column in the magazine Merkur.
