Research Focus

As the department's first employee, Victoria C. Abplanalp started as a student assistant in 2017, before becoming a research assistant after obtaining her law degree. In 2020 Victoria changed to working as a University Lecturer at our Department (course “Coding for Lawyers”). Her research focuses on legal tech, artificial intelligence, platform regulation and the impact of new technologies on the legal profession and legal education. Besides, Victoria works to promote more access to the law in Austria, be it by founding the “Legal Literacy Project” or “Access to Justice”.

Victoria is a full-time consultant at McKinsey & Company.

In addition to her law studies in Vienna and Sydney, she completed a bachelor degree in "International Development".
