The Department of Innovation and Digitisation in Law has set up a moodle course "Survival Guide: Remote Teaching" for teachers within 24 hours in response to the instructions and measures of the rectorate. This online platform is meant to be a channel to exchange ideas and discuss different e-learning methods and show the best practices of our Department as to help each other transform conventional teaching into e-learning successfully.
Thus we would like to give an overview of how we use e-learning and remote teaching methods in our classes:
We use the streaming tool BigBlueButton (directly integrated in Moodle) to hold this lecture at the regular timeslot fully digitally. This will happen until further notice.
030250 SE Seminar: current questions of it-law for diploma students and 380023 SE Seminar for graduate students: Current IT-Law Problems
The organisational meetings for the Seminar for Diploma Students and the Seminar for PhD Students will be held via GoToMeeting. The presenations of the seminar papers will take place as planned. In case this is not possible, the presentations will be held online as well. Although in a different form, the core requirements of the seminar remain the same as always: presentation, seminar paper and participation in the discussion.
“Coding for Lawyers” has always been designed as both an on-, and offline course. Therefore only the units which can be found in u:find are affected by new measures of remote learning. These will be held via "Big Blue Button" ("BBB") - a tool that is integrated in Moodle. The special challenge of directly supporting students that encounter error messages with regards to their code, can also be met by "BBB" as this program allows students to share their own screen during the online session. This way, the lecturers can see which errors have been made and give direct and individual feedback.
The course Legal Research is primarily an online course. Therefore, the concept remains unchanged and is not affected by the decision to switch to remote learning. Material can be found in moodle and exams will take place in moodle as well. In case the dates of planned events and for reviewing exam scores need to be changed, these events may be held via the internet. You will be informed accordingly via moodle and u:find.

030332 KU Copyright in the digital single market
The course was supposed to be a regular course with attendance. If it is not possible to hold the course with presence on 23.04., we will offer an e-learning format, probably via Moodle, the online platform of the University of Vienna.
