Panel discussion: Legal Tech Start-ups

"Legal Technology" supports legal work processes by automation. Due to rising IT potential, the importance of legal technology for legal advice is steadily increasing.

Moderated by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Forgó, the University of Vienna will host a panel discussion on 'Legal Tech Start-Ups' on 11 December 2017, starting at 7 pm. 

Mag. Franziska K. Lehner will present the non-profit organisation 'Legal Tech Initiative Austria' and its services. Dr. Bertram Burtscher (Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer) will report on the legal framework as well as current legal developments and Dr. Veronika Haberler about her legal tech start-up 'LeReTo'. Markus Raunig (AustrianStartups) will give a talk about the potentials, challenges and obstacles regarding investments in the start-up sector. Finally Dr. Axel Anderl comments on what to consider when giving legal advice to start-ups.

The event is organized by the Legal Tech Initiative Austria, the Scientific Interest Group IT-LAW.AT, the University of Vienna's LL.M.-programme on information and media law and the Department of Innovation and Digitalisation in Law.

The event will be held in German and is free of charge. However registration is required.
