The Viennese Law Salon aims to offer a space for international and research-led exchange on the role of law in shaping sustainable social structures. Through inspiring thoughts, controversial propositions, and constructive feedback, it fosters a lively discussion on topics related to planning, innovation, and transformation.

On Wednesday, 26 April, 2023, 6:00 pm the Viennese Law Salon will open its doors for the second time.
Professor Roger Brownsword will speak on “Law’s Governance, Discontent, and Our Technological Futures”.
Roger Brownsword is Professor of Law at King’s College London. His numerous books and articles are known throughout the English-speaking world. He has also published in Chinese, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese. His most recent books are Law, Technology and Society: Reimagining the Regulatory Environment (2019), Law 3.0: Rules, Regulation, and Technology (2020), Rethinking Law, Regulation, and Technology (2022), Technology, Governance and Respect for the Law: Pictures at an Exhibition (2022), and Law, Regulation and Governance in the Information Society (co-edited by Maurizio Borghi) (2023). His upcoming book, Technology, Humans and Discontent with Law: The Quest for Better Governance is to be published later this year. He is the founding general editor of Law, Innovation and Technology as well as being on the editorial board of the Modern Law Review, the International Journal of Law and Information Technology, and the Journal of Law and the Biosciences.
