Albert Steiner from the Department of Tax and Fiscal Law at the University of Graz and Sophia Witz from the Department of Innovation and Digitalisation in Law, Team Iris Eisenberger, gave a talk on legal implication of disruptive technologies in public administration as part of the “Open Seminar: AI in Public Services – Social, Ethical and Legal Implications” of the research project “ETAPAS” in Norway, Oslo.
In their talk, titled “Legal Aspects of AI-Projects in Public Administrations” they addressed the legal assessment with a special focus on the impact of the AI Act on public administration.
The H2020 project ETAPAS explores the use of disruptive technologies in public administration. The aim of ETAPAS is to develop a framework for the responsible use of disruptive technologies in the public sector together with representatives of public authorities.
