Focus Group: Robotics in Healthcare

20.06.2023

Sophia Witz supports the focus groups of the “RR-AI” project in Munich and Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

The research project “RR-AI” (Responsible Robotics and AI) develops robotics for health-related fields. Within the project, we are especially interested in the ethical, legal, and social dimensions and how the application of robotics affects involved actors. To evaluate the chances and risks healthcare experts and the general public faces when robotics are applied in the healthcare system, we conduct focus groups in Munich and Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The Department of Innovation and Digitalisation in Law is represented through Sophia Witz, University Assistant in the group of Professor Iris Eisenberger.

The project is part of the transdisciplinary consortium “Digitalization”, which explores questions of the digital transition in economy and work, politics and society, as well as media and public communication. The consortium is funded by the Bavarian Institute for Digital Transformation (bidt) of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities. Within the consortium, the project “Responsible Robotics” is part of the initiative “economy and work”.
