At the event, the challenges and opportunities of using artificial intelligence in general and specifically in connection with the judicial system were discussed. The conference also focussed on cross-border aspects and issues relating to the interoperability of electronic communication.
On the panel of the first day, Christiane Wendehorst represented the European Law Institute (ELI) in her function as Scientific Director and presented its work on the use of AI in the judicial system.
