Christiane Wendehorst at UNCITRAL

28.11.2024

Christiane Wendehorst participated as an observer for the European Law Institute (ELI) at the 67th session of UNCITRAL's Working Group on Electronic Commerce from November 18 to 22, 2024.

The sessions focused on reviewing the outcomes of the 66th session of UNCITRAL Working Group IV (E-Commerce), which took place in Vienna in October 2023. This session centered on drafting regulations for automation in contracting in the context of artificial intelligence use and data provision contracts.

As an expert with extensive experience from her collaboration with the ALI and ELI as well as her own research, Professor Wendehorst actively contributed to the discussions. The UNCITRAL work on this topic heavily builds on the "ALI-ELI Principles for a Data Economy", developed by Christiane Wendehorst and Neil B. Cohen.
