MC Monroe E. Price Media Law Moot Court Competition

The Programme in Comparative Media Law & Policy of the renowned University of Oxford established the Monroe E. Price Media Law Moot Court Competition with the aim to foster and cultivate interest in freedom of expression issues and the role of the media and information technologies in societies around the world.

The annual Price Moot Court Competition challenges students to engage in comparative research of legal standards at the national, regional and international levels and to develop their arguments (in written and oral forms) on cutting-edge questions in media and ICT law. The Competition is currently comprised of seven Regional Rounds.

Application WS 2024/25

We are looking for motivated students with a distinct sense of justice who are willing to represent the University of Vienna at this prestigious moot court competition. 

Each participating team must prepare written submissions and Oral Pleadings. The European Regional Round will take place at the end of January 2025 (the exact date will be announced before the start of the semester). Qualifying teams from the Regional Rounds will go to the International Round in Oxford in March-April 2025. 

The deadline for applications is 24. September 2024.

The most qualified applicants will be selected due to their CV, transcript of grades and letter of motivation.
