Workshop: The use of AI powered automated individual decision-making in the fight against crime

06.11.2019 14:35 - 15:15

On the 6th of November 2019 members of our team will hold a workshop on "The use of AI powered automated individual decision-making in the fight against crime" at this year´s Net.Law.S conference, which is a interdisciplinary conference on digital transformation in business with a special focus on law and society.

The goal of the workshop is to show the legal possibilities (and limitations) for implementing innovative tools based on artificial intelligence, mostly machine learning, for mission planning, surveillance and threat assessments (among other things) by law enforcement agencies. To this end, our team members will draw on their work in and experience from EU projects CONNEXIONs and CREST and introduce the participants to the relevant European legal framework and give an overview of the legal situation in the member states.
