Legal Tech Initiative Austria, it-law.at, the University of Vienna's LL.M.-programme on information and media-law and the Department of Innovation and Digitalisation in Law joined forces to achieve a common goal: to inspire, foster and reflect on Vienna's vivid legal start-up-ecosystem by a substantial and visible event. The initiative got the attention it deserved, more than 170 participants had registered. 

The discussion was intense, informative and productive. Two major law firms (Dorda and Freshfields), two key initiatives (Legal Tech Initiative Austria and Austrian Startups) and an impressive example of a legal-tech success story (lereto) had leading representatives on the panel and exchanged opinions on technological opportunities, challenging business models and the future of lawyers. 

The audience, mainly well known lawyers, industry leaders, academics and students got a lot of first hand information. 

The lesson was clear: Vienna has the potential to become a leading city for legal-tech start-ups in Europe. Let's keep the momentum.
