European Electronic Communications Code (in Austria)

05.03.2020

Univ.-Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Forgó together with Dr. Lukas Feiler and Dr. Georg Serentschy present a proposal for EECC-implementation in an Austrian "TKG 2020".

Directive 2018/1972 of 11 December 2018 establishing the European Electronic Communications Code (in short: EECC) needs to be transposed into national law in this year, the existing "Telekommunikationsgesetz" (TKG) will be history.

„This is not about boring legal details, this is about shaping the digital future in Europe for the next decade. It's one of the few opportunities to make decisions how the country and the continent should develop.“, says Univ.-Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Forgó in his LinkedIn Tweet.

Thus Univ.-Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Forgó together with Dr. Lukas Feiler and Dr. Georg Serentschy present a proposal for EECC-implementation in an Austrian "TKG 2020". The text is freely and fully available at „TKG2020.at“ and is a relevant contribution to the "big issues" such as 5G, broadband access, OTT-level playing field and access blocking.
