International Workshop on Law, Philosophy and Technology at Vienna University: Kyoto-Vienna Workshop Series

23.03.2020 10:00 - 17:30

On the 23th of March 2020 the Department of Innovation and Digitalisation in Law together with the Law School of the University of Kyoto will hold a conference on "How to cohabitate with intelligent robots: Legal, ethical and engineering issues in 'multi-species' society".

Due to the rapid development of robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) a number of ethical and legal questions have risen: Should we further rely on the modern philosophical division between subject and object? How should we treat legal liability problems regarding "autonomous objects"? Should engineers take into account ethical problems when building robotics and AI?

Those questions will be discussed from experts all over the world at the conference on the 23th of March 2020.
