H2020 Project “ETAPAS”: General Assembly in Thessaloniki

The H2020 project ETAPAS explores the use of disruptive technologies in public administration. These include rehabilitation robots, fake news detector, municipality chatbots and open data applications. The aim of ETAPAS is to develop a framework for the responsible use of disruptive technologies in the public sector. ETAPAS stands for „Ethical Technology Adaption in Public Administration Services”. The project is coordinated by the Ministero dell'Economia e delle Finanze (Italy) and comprises partners from Italy, Denmark, Norway, Greece, Belgium, Sweden, France, and Austria.

The team of Professor Tina Ehrke-Rabel, Department of Tax and Fiscal Law, University of Graz, and the team of Professor Iris Eisenberger at the Institute of Innovation and Digitalisation in Law, University of Vienna, are co-developing conceptual frameworks for the responsible development of AI-based public sector technologies.
