2nd Online Workshop between KYUDAI and ID - Report

06.04.2022

For a second time, today the KYUDAI and ID held an online workshop aiming to explore topics of relevance in Japan and Europe and exchange views on each’s jurisdiction specific regulation.

On Wednesday, April 6th, 2022 KYUDAI, Kyushu University in Fukuoka, Japan, and Department of Innovation and Digitalisation in Law, Vienna, Austria, held an online workshop where two specific topics of each speakers’ expertise were addressed, which allowed the exchange of different views on these topics in the respective jurisdictions.

From KYUDAI (KYUSHU), Dr. Peter Lee, presented his ongoing research on "Legal Issues in the Use of Blockchain Technology in Maritime Transport Documentation" while Dr. Richard Rak (ID, UNIVIE) gave a presentation on "Legal Requirements Deriving From the Qualification Assessment of Internet of Health Things and Interconnected Software (AI Systems) under EU Law".

Both presentations were followed by an enriching exchange, including the points raised by the speakers.

Such an inter-jurisdictional enriching event is worth repeating!
